These were certainly great for the price since a comparable set is $45+ but these were a bit of a pain to get set up and they aren't super bright but do the job required. In the add it appears that they are black or a very dark brown, however they are made out of brown plastic and aren't visually attractive. Some can with the plastic melted but overall for $22 they were a decent buy.Bought these to lighten up my backyard a little. Compared to a single $8 solar pathlight I bought, they are pretty close in brightness. Although, the $8 one is slightly brighter and the light lasts slightly longer with a sturdier plastic quality, compared to this set, for the price it think it very much worth. The plastic "glass" of these lights even adds a little cute texture to the ground which is nice. I do wish the plastic was a little more sturdier for the frame surrounding the "glass", as it is quite easy to bend, but not horrible. The stakes will bend as well if the ground is hard, but easy if done after rain or wetting the ground with a hose.My only two reasons for four stars is the plastic quality and that it came with three missing black stakes for the lights. Not bothering to send back since I can just easily put the three stake-missing lights in my pots, as the rod is there, but no stake to help me get it into the hard ground.These didn't last two months and the color is already faded on the plastic which is flimy, 2 broke simply installing them. They aren't bright, don't cast a pattern on the ground and now 2 of them don't light up at all, so a loss of 4. If I could return them, I would.LikeThis is a great product. The batteries died the first day I put them out. Other than that They are beautiful.Did not like color. Photo showed the lights as being black. No mention of color so figured they were black. Turns out to be a dark brown. All my accessories are black so brown will not look good. Advertisement needs to say actual color. For garden use.I thought these were awful at first. After 3 days they still weren’t putting off any light. Wasn’t super upset because they still made my flower bed look good! Then it clicked I never pulled out the tab inside the light to make it work! After I did that, they worked just like they are supposed to! So don’t forget to pull the tab out inside the lid. Oops!Take the top off, they are hard to twist off and I broke one, I was not certain how to take them apart, very confusing, they really are too plastic! All you need is 1 more direction twist off top , your minimal directions are a problem!
