This solar light seems well made, though only the triangular side pieces are metal - the rest is plastic. The sloping solar cell should permit rain to run off - a cell killer in my past experience with similar products. The motion detection is not as sensitive as I would have liked, but is adequate. Brightness is good for a solar light, but nowhere as bright as a wired AC light would be. The fact that the rechargeable battery can be replaced is a plus. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.I installed two of these on the north side of our house. 2 months in and they seem to get enough light in the shade for our purposes (light our way when taking garbage and recycling out). I'm curious how they will do in the winter months when there's less daylight, but so far so good. The motion sensor is quite sensitive. I had to adjust placement of one of the lights as our AC compressor was triggering it (I have them set to only illuminate with motion). I installed them with vinyl siding hooks so I wouldn't have to make any holes in the house. They're very lightweight and seem to be staying put with the hooks even in some significant storms we had this summer.I bought this to light up my door when returning at dark. I did not want to leave a porch light on. This light is very bright, stays on enough time for me to get on the deck, unlock my door, and get inside securing the door. Fabulous value I thought. Easily charges, we will see how long it lasts.Works great, and is bright enough for my location. I have it set for the dual brightness. It doesn't go off for every passing person, you have to be approaching my patio for it to light. I like that it gradually brightens and dims. Would reccomendI installed 5 of these back in 2019 to provide motion lights to our side yards. All are still working thru summers, winters, rain and hail. They provide plenty of light. Decided to buy two more for extra light since some of my shrubs are beginning to block some of the light pattern.Full charge its pretty bright. Motion sensors work as described.I mounted the light above my garbage pails to provide light when we dispose of trash in the late evening. The light works great and is super brightI’ve bought a lot of the plastic body lights and found after a year they are brittle, or batteries are weak. I tried this light because it cost a little more and it seems better. It has a nice way of turning on , get brighter in a second so your eyes are able to adjust.I have 2 lights placed 10 feet apart at 10 feet high. They look great with the metal housings .I recommend this light.Runs all night. I leave it on first setting of stay on dim and then goes bright when walk by. This is picture at 4am on dim after running all night. We bought warm white which is nice as not blinding but give enough security light.I have placed several of these on my stairs in Central Ontario Canada. No a lot of sunlight for charghing in these neck of the woods. Overall they still light up when I need them.I use the low ambient setting and then they go bright when motion detector is triggered.I find I have so occasionally reset them as they turn off by themselves, which is why I took away a star.It may be the lack of sunlight and they totally discharge, not sure.Would and have bought again.Très satisfait pour ce produit, je l'utilise en mode continu et non détection de mouvement pour éclairer l'adresse de la maison et l'ont voit très bien les chiffres de la rue. Je le recommande.This needs direct sunglight to charge. It wont charge sufficiently with indirect sunglight. This unit is installed on a wall that is very close to direct sunlight (so its not like its in the shade), but it wont charge. Otherwise, works great.These are exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciate that it lights up slowly as a sudden on would startle the skunks that pass through the yard. They have only been up a few days and I have had compliments on their looks and performance.
