Battery LED String Lights with Timer - 100LED 8 Modes for Christmas, Wedding & Garden Decor

Our house is of the older variety and doesn’t have an outdoor outlet for hooking up Christmas lights. I looked everywhere for durable outdoor battery operated lights and these were perfect after a few misses with other brands. The built in timers worked just as they should and the length is longer than the options I’ve tried from big box stores. We have two columns flanking our front door and one strand fit perfectly on each column (I bought a total of two).The brightness was fantastic for about a month at which point one of the strands started dulling out a bit. Still, I’m thrilled to have found these. We also had a set of solar net lights on our hedges. For those in the same boat who are pondering battery operated versus solar as an alternative - these were definitely brighter and more dependable than the solar set we had on our hedges.The lights work just as advertised. We put them on Holly tresses that are not close to any electrical outlets. The lights look great and the timer is perfect.I love these lights. I live in the Midwest, where our winters can be brutal. So, a timer function was extremely important, because I don't want to worry about turning the lighs on and off. I wanted to decorate my balcony, but didn't have an outdoor plug for Christmas lights, so I looked for lights that I could use to decorate an outdoor wreath that I wanted to put in front of my balcony. I have a medium sized wreath and this100 light strand looks very pretty on my wreath. The bulbs and brightness of these lights look like regular plug in lights. I'm very happy with my purchase. These lights would be pretty on a small Christmas tree as well, but you might want to purchase the 200 light strand for a tree.We bought this for my wreath so we could hang it where no plug outlet was nearby. I put the wreath up on December 1 and it has been burning brightly since then without having to replace the batteries. Bottom line, it has gotten me through Christmas and shows no signs of wavering yet. We've had all sorts of weather in that time period so the case that holds the batteries is solid. It's easy to have it turn on automatically for 6 hours and shut down for 18. I wish it had two timer settings so it could come on in the early morning but that is the one small gripe I have about a great light set.Loved the lights. Worth the moneyI used two strands of these lights to decorate my truck for Christmas, and they worked perfectly! Very cool the way they have different settings, and great that they’re waterproof so they can be used outdoors. I even accidentally dropped the power box on the ground when installing it, and it was sturdy and unharmed. Very good product for the value!This light strand was used to circle the bottom branches of a small tree out in our front yard; too far away to use drop cords. It gave just enough color for a dark spot and added to our other Christmas lights we have on shrubs, etc. The batteries we used were the long lasting type, new ones (name brand) but they didn't last very long; we had to insert new batteries a couple of weeks before Christmas. There is a nice selection of light patterns, too.I placed these lights with another shorter string and each one lasted about 3 hours with new batteries. They looked great as long as they lasted but worthless after 3 hours. :( :( LATER: I misspoke. It seems that the two strings of lights actually continued to work but were on different timers and when I looked out a few times they were both off. Therefore I thought that they stopped after 3 hours. I am sorry for this mistake. And am changing my review.
