Waterproof Dual Head Security Lights - IP65 Motion Sensor for Yard, Garden, Garage

These got a full day of sunlight and then held up for most of the night during a thunder storm when our electricity went out. I was really appreciative of that. I actually brought them into the house long enough to find our flashlights and candles. Good motion sensors. Not super tough but can handle your average weather and use. I plan to store these through the winter to assist with longevity. Simple to install. How quickly the battery expires depends mainly on how often the sensor gets triggered during the night.The solar panel on the light works well, giving it enough power to work all through the night as needed. The lights are very easy to adjust, so you can point them in the direction(s) needed. There are times when the motion detection doesn't seem to catch something right away, but we've yet to be snuck up on by something.We thought these would be good on our garage to help deter burglars, we've had a catalytic converter stolen off our vehichle twice and even though we since sold that car it's made us really wnat to have more deterents which light usually does. Unfortunately these just don't really work for us. The lights never go all the way off and when they are actively on the light isn't very bright. We ended up not being able to use them on our garage because they can really only sit under the eaves/soffit of the roof. The panel doesn't really move and it can't be detached so it ends up being blocked from the sun. We had to put them much lower on the exterior walls which don't even allow for good illumination so we ended up just taking them down and after trying them and looking for something else. The build on these isn't very strong anyways and I doubt they would have lasted through the harsh winters we get.These solar powered security lights were definitely much smaller than expected. It fit in the palm of my hand.The housing feels like thin plastic, kind of wish it felt a bit more sturdy.I gave the units a full days worth of solar charging on the back patio before ever powering them on.Set up in the backyard on the corners of the house, they lit up the dark quite well.I've had them mounted now since Feb 2022, it is now May 2022. No issues with water intrusion from rain, no battery issues, nothing has gone wrong at all so I am loving them so far!The only downside I can say is probably the price point. At $50 for two, it falls in the price range of much better quality competitor products. Although I am not saying this is not a good unit, it just feels cheap with the materials used but it does do its job as advertised.The 1 star drop in rating is simply because of the quality of the unit. Otherwise, seems great for security purposes and no need to run any new electrical wire since it is solar powered.These motion detector lights work great. They detect motion very well and come on as expected. These were very easy to install and use.The lights in these are REALLY bright so we've had to do a lot of adjusting to avoid these shining into neighbors' houses, but these do adjust really easily and have a wide range of angles.This set of solar lights last the entire night on a charge and give off a very effective back door light range for my yard. On each side are positional lights and would say don’t turn these too hard or far because of the material. I used different screw for mounting but the ones they came with I can use for something else.Very bright and I like how you can move each light to point the way you want it to point. They were easy to install and the motion detection works well for our dogs (we have these in our backyard). When there isn't anything to trigger the motion detector and turn on the bright lights, there is still a dim light on, and I would prefer not to have the dim light at all when there is nothing around. There is an on/off button but no other settings.These lights work well. The motion detector works fine without being overly sensitive. The light provided illuminates as expected. Set up and installation were easy. The lights are plastic and lightweight. Too early to report on durability.
