So far, it does exactly what I wanted it to do...decorate my front yard light post while using no commercial power. There are, however, a few things I'd like to mention:First, it comes with a 1800 mah (milliamp-hour) rechargeable battery, so I immediately replaced the battery with a 2500 mah Duracell for nearly 40% more capacity. This will not only make the lights stay lit longer with a full charge, it may also help for days when there isn't a lot of sun to recharge the battery, i.e., it may last more than one night without a full recharge. So far, the lights have lasted overnight every night, even after a couple of dull, dark, rainy days. I use the "slow shift" mode in which the lights slowly alternate between blue-green only to red-yellow only. this effectively means that only half of the lights are lit at any one time, saving battery power, but still displaying different colors over time.Second, except for "constant on" and "slow shift," the many "modes" are essentially useless to me, and the one I REALLY want isn't available (ability to display only blue and green or red and yellow). This accounts for the lack of the fifth star in my rating.Last, one should keep in mind that these are 200 (!) LEDs powered by a single AA-size rechargeable battery. They aren't even close to being as bright as AC-powered lights (they're tiny "fairy lights"), so don't expect a magnificent, eye-squinting display, but they're certainly bright enough to be seen from quite a distance, and they make fine decorations.I'd buy them again...especially if they last, which is still yet to be determined.The lights work very well. They are a warm white. The lights are small and are not super bright however, they look very very nice and the solar lasts a very long time (panel charges best facing south).Love these lights this is my fifth set I have them around our backyard they give off a great ambienceThis is the third set of solar mini lights I’ve bought but apparently these aren’t the same brand as my first two because they don’t work at all if the sun isn’t bright. Forget it if it’s overcast. Wish I could remember the brand of the first two I bought!We have had these lights up for about a week, and so far we really like them. I was really impressed with the quality of these lights. They are bright enough to be seen from the street, and have several options for lighting - solid light, flickering, blinking rapidly, flashing slowly, switching between red/yellow and blue/green lights, and a couple of others. So far the solar charging has worked great; we live near the Canadian border, where daylight hours are short in the winter, and so far we've found the days are long enough to charge the lights so they shine all night.The only negative so far is that solar panel needs to be in a shadowy area at night, because if bright light shines on the charging pad, the lights will go out. We discovered this accidentally as we were backing out of the driveway, our headlights shined on the panel for a moment, and the lights went out. As soon as our headlights were off the panel, they came back on. If you live on a busy corner with bright streetlights or headlights regularly shining on your house, you may need to be creative about where you point the solar panel.I bought these over a month ago, and they worked right out of the box. I didn't really have use for them at the time I bought them, so I wasn't surprised when they were dead when I decided to put them up yesterday. I took the back off the solar panel box and removed the battery (it comes with a 1800 mAh battery) and put it in my battery charger for a few hours. After that, it worked again and I strung up the lights outside on our house where it would be difficult to run plug in lights. So far they are working great, I just put the solar panel inside my window so I can access it easily and it gets sun during the day. I like the different modes that can be set with these lights, and while it's very hard to tell if they are actually on when there's still light outside, once it's dark they are much brighter than I expected them to be.Excellent product will be buying another set soon for camperThere was no remote control with it and lights only stay on for few minutesAlthough I like this product, the charge only lasts about 3 hours, instead of the 6-8 hours indicated on the instructions. This may be because of low levels of sunlight in the northern hemisphere at this time of year.Work great!
